This St Andrews Chardonnay is showing a light to medium yellow colour with subtle but vibrant green hue and brilliant clarity. The nose of this elegant, stylish Chardonnay is showing elements of peach, honey and almonds with complimenting oak, as well as the enticing French oak that offers nuicances of freshly baked bread, nuttiness and cashews.
A silky textured wine, medium in body but offering exceptional length with flavours of lime, melon and nutmeg. Malolactic fermentation and extended lees contact has added delicate complexities of creamy coconut, butterscotch and palate richness and great finish.

Description: ST Andrews was a sleepy winery originally founded in 1896 - one of the first established in Australia - but had not been in operation since 1934. In 1995 the Taylor family, owners of the Wakefield Estate Winery, purchased the property and immediately set about the task of re-creating history with the release of wines under the St. Andrews label.
