Selected by the Stowells of Chelsea buyer from producers in the Rapel region of Chile's Central Valley. Chile has traditionally produced excellent reds and has more recently orientated its winemaking towards the production of more modern cool berry fruit aromas and flavours. The grapes are picked when ripe , gently crushed and vinified under temperature control to extract maximum fruit and supple tannins. This has produced a deep rich plum coloured wine that has vibrant blackcurranty aromas, and full supple fruit on the palate with a long finish. A generous rich red wine. (12 x 75 cl)
Selected from one of the largest wine estates in central Chile, south of Santiago, situated between the Andes Mountains to the East and the South Pacific to the west. Long summer days and mountain cooled night air provide unrivalled conditions for fruit to ripen. A first rate winemaker, working with modern winemaking equipment has produced a really soft drinkable wine of great charm and flavour. Lemon yellow hue with rich tropical fruit and white peach aromas lead to a full zingy gooseberry fruit palate with a lime finish. (12 x 75 cl)
