Marchesi di Barolo Barolo DOCG Cannubi
This vineyard is situated on the Hill of the Cannubi. A deep, sometimes inky wine, with tobacco aromas. It has a great, smoky complexity and surprising finesse and suppleness for such a weighty wine. A perfect accompaniment to red meat game and cheese. Serve at room temperature. (12 x 75 cl)
G.D.Vajra Barolo LE ALBE Piedmont
From younger vineyards, Le Albe is ripe and forward with Vajra's trademark elegance very much to the fore. (12 x 75 cl)
G.D. Vajra ROSABELLA Rosato Vino Tavola Piemonte
Made from Barbera and Dolcetto, it has superb perfume, dry fruit yet lovely intensity on the palate, a silky texture and great zip on the finish. (12 x 75 cl)
Mascarello BRICCO Barolo DOCG
It was the vine-tender Giuseppe Mascarello who began the family business back in 1881, in the village of Monforte d'Alba, where he purchased a site in Regione Pian della Polvere. Today, the family still run this well respected winery producing great wines that are a real reflection of the region. Once in the winery the Nebbiolo grapes are matured in small Slavonian oak barrels for around 36 months and the resulting colour is garnet red with orange-coloured highlights. The nose is very fruity, elegant, intense, with flowery notes while the good body is showing power and stuffing, demanding, masculine, long and full this is a wine to enjoy. (6 x 75 cl)
