The house of Pascal Jolivet is one of the youngest and most dynamic in the Loire Valley. He started the Grand Vins du Val de Loire in 1982, however, later founded the house of Pascal Jolivet in 1987. Here he specialised in the wines of Sancerre and Pouilly-Fume which he has very quickly gained a leading position with the Michelin-starred restaurants in France. Today, with 70 acres of vineyards in the two premier appellations of Sancerre and Pouilly-Fume, bolstered by 50 percent purchased fruits, Pascal Jolivet produces classically styled Loire red and white wines. (6 x 75 cl)
The Grande Cuvée Pouilly Fume is a wine with extreme concentration and of great power. It develops powerful flavours of nut, honey and brioche. Its length in mouth is exceptional. (6 x 75 cl)
A rare & distinctive Rose made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes. Quite light, fragrant and very subtle. This is a wine to think about & enjoy when you have time to appreciate its charm! (12 x 75 cl)
Discreet the first year, this golden highlighted mineral wine fulfils alls its elegance and finesse after 3 or 4 years of bottle aging. In fact, it deserves to age in order to best fulfill its subtleness. If you have the patience to bottle age it for a dozen years you will be even more surprised! Along the Roman Road a rest stop for carriages once existed known as l'Arret Buffatte. Travelers and horses could take a breather, refresh themselves and eat there. The vines present on this site allow us to produce the cuvée honoring its name -l'Arrêt Buffatte. Situated in a geological cirque at the height of the best hillsides with southwest exposure and overlooking the Loire River, the 35 year-old vines of l'Arrêt Buffatte benefit from all the potential of the Kimmeridgian marls. This makes it possible for us to produce wines for aging of a large aromatic complexity with scents of white flowers and passion fruit.
