A relatively small estate run by Bernard Germain with a high proportion of Merlot grown on limestone. The bouquet has notes of black cherries, tobacco and roasting, and the palate is full and voluptuous, care of the low yielding old vines. In the mouth there is an explosion of stewed fruits with a final persistence. (6 x 75 cl)

From manual harvesting allowing thorough sorting of bunches to sun-ripened concentrated grapes, everything here at château Roland la Garde imbibes the perfect harmony between man and his land. Roland La Garde should be decanted or opened more than one hour before the meal and served at 17°C. To be fully enjoyed after 5 to 10 years. A very fine keeping wine. (12 x 75 cl)

Evidently, therefore, he has a great respect for the art and traditions of wine-making, and it is in this spirit that the wines of Germain and Associes are made.
