Description:
A grape popular with Sardinian growers because of its capacity to adapt to every type of terrain. The wine has a straw yellow colour with light greenish reflections. A balanced and slightly acidic aroma with a pleasant, dry flavour.
Produced with 85% Monica with the remainder consisting of Pascale di Cagliari and Carignan. The wine has a bright, ruby red colour, intense aromas, an appealing nose and a characteristic finish. (12 x 75 cl)
A full bodied intense and warm red produced from Cannonau , Montepulciano and Carignano . Aged in oak for a short period of time, the wine has spicy notes and good body. (6 x 75 cl)
Produced from 100% Vermentina grapes which are hand harvested from limestone vineyards in Parteolla. Bright, straw yellow in colour with light green reflections. Intense and fresh on the nose with spicy, apple notes. Persistent with good acidity on the nose. (6 x 75 cl)
Ruby red in colour with violet tinges. Intense on the nose with notes of ripe fruit and jam. Full bodied, warm and harmonious to taste with persistent fruity notes. (6 x 75 cl)
The Greco grapes are produced in the superb vineyards of Tufo, Santa Paolina and Torrione and once this wine is released it has a deep straw yellow colour, brilliant and full-bodied. The intense and lingering aroma alternates between smooth scents of white fruit and hints of vanilla, fern and mint. The taste is rich, oily, fresh, balanced with a good structure based on mineral content, while the finish is elegant and full-bodied with the scent of peach. (12 x 75 cl)
Produced with Greco grapes from Santa Paolina vines, this white has an intense straw yellow colour with a rich texture while a complex fragrance of cantaloupe and pineapple notes alternate with the essence of camomile, vanilla and nutmeg. On the palate, the wine is round and fresh with the pleasant mineral characteristic of Tufo. An elegant finish recalls hints of almonds and mineral tones. (6 x 75 cl)
San Valentino is a small winery and was purchased by its current owner, Robert Mascarin in 1990, with its first commercial vintage in 1997. In 2000 Fabrizio Moltard was hired as a wine consultant and the results are evident and this wine had been awarded the prestigious Tre Bicchieri or Three Glass award in the 2004 Gambera Rosso, the Italian wine bible. Hugely intense nose with big, ripe fruits and chocolaty oak with massive, opulent, black cherry fruit, toasty oak flavours. In the mouth, the massive structure with its complicated tannic structure is complimented by the dominating fruit. With a fantastic palate and great persistence this is a wine to be enjoyed. (6 x 75 cl)
