Pale straw in colour with tinges of light green and brilliant clarity, the Stamp Semillon Chardonnay displays intense aromas of citrus blossom, melon, pear and peach with some spicy characters. The palate is medium bodied with rich flavours of citrus, melon and sweet spice, complexed with soft oak. This wine has an elegant mouthfeel, with a lovely lingering finish. Fruit for this wine was carefully harvested in the cool of the night, so as to retain maximum varietal freshness of character. After crushing, the juice was transferred to stainless steel tanks where it was inoculated with selected yeast strains, which initiated a warm fermentation between 14-18 degrees Celsius. A light oak influence has added another dimension to this full flavoured wine.
