Description:
Generic Tasting Notes An intense cherry coloured wine, with ruby hues. Complex bouquet, with highly concentrated notes of forest fruits, harmonising with a spicy perfume (juniper and liquorice) and elegant notes of wood and vanilla (barriques). A full-bodied, generous wine, which has great harmony and a long finish. Producer Notes A new range from caVit with striking packaging and wines from selected vineyards. Also in the range is a ripe, full, nutty and honeyed Pinot Grigio. Vinification The grapes are harvested when fully mature in the first ten days of October, when the stalk is woody and the seeds well-mature. After crushing the must is fermented with the skins in small stainless steel vats for approximately 12 -14 days at a temperature which does not exceed 26-27ºC. The wine is then refined in oak barriques for 15 months. A short maturation period in barrels then follows before bottling.
Generic Tasting Notes This straw-coloured Pinot Grigio is rich and round with distinct floral notes on the nose. On the palate it shows honeyed, nutty flavours balanced by crisp, lemony acidity. A top-notch Pinot Grigio at an unusually modest price. Producer Notes 100% Pinot Grigio. Produced from grapes grown in Valle dei Laghi, a valley with a sub-Mediterranean climate, in fertile well-drained soils. Grapes underwent soft pressing and fermentation took place at a controlled temperature of 20ºC. The wine was matured in stainless steel tanks for 4 months and subsequently bottled. Refined but intense nose with distinct floral notes which will develop into a pleasant bouquet of dry hay when mature. Medium bodied on the palate with a hint of acidity which gives a certain freshness. Great with fish soups, seafood risotto, baked fish and cold white meats. Vinification Vinification is carried out off the skins and the must is obtained from a soft crushing of the whole bunches, to prevent the pink colour of the skins from being extracted. Selected yeast and a controlled temperature of 20 degrees C are used to aid fermentation. Maturation for 4 months in stainless steel vats before bottling. (6 x 75 cl)
Generic Tasting Notes Pronounced bouquet of red fruits: cherries and strawberries in particular with some almond and vanilla notes. Light and velvety on the palate with soft tannins and a mouthwateringly delicious finish. Improves with age. Producer Notes One of a new premium range from CaVit with striking packaging and wines from selected vineyards. The trio consists of a Pinot Grigio, Merlot and Pinot Nero. Vinification Vinification is carried out according to the traditional system for red wine with a maceration period of 7-8 days. After a short period in stainless steel tanks, some of the wine is left to mature in barriques and some in oak barrels for 10 (6 x 75 cl)
Generic Tasting Notes A soft, slightly creamy chardonnay with aromas of ripe apples and delicate tropical fruits. Nice intensity of fruit on the palate with further tropical fruit and vanilla notes. A dry and pleasantly fresh finish. Vinification Grape bunches are careful selected, crushed, and left to macerate cold on the skins for 5 hours to extract aromas. The must is then separated from the skins and fermented partly in stainless steel and partly in barriques to add compexity. Finally the wine is allowed to mature/stabilise in stainless steel tanks for 4 months prior to bottling. (12 x 75 cl)
Generic Tasting Notes Pale yellow colour with golden hues. Intense nose supported by aromatic notes reminiscent of elderflower, fig leaf and sweet pepper. Dry palate with good body and fresh acidity. Vinification Laid out, de-stalked grapes undergo cold maceration for 12 hours to facilitate extraction of the aromas. After this the grapes are soft pressed and undergo temperature controlled fermentation. (12 x 75 cl)
Generic Tasting Notes Ruby red in colour with strong hints of woodland fruits, Christmas cake spices and vanilla on the nose. A well-structured wine with a perfectly balanced tannins and acidity. Smoooth and velvety on the palate, with an impressive intensity and finish. Producer Notes Vinification 'Dunkel' is traditionally vinified as red wine at 28-29 degrees C with long maceration on the skins in small stainless steel tanks. It is then matured in barriques for 12-14 months and subsequently aged in small oak barrels for a further 6 months. (6 x 75 cl)
Generic Tasting Notes Deep ruby red colour with a violet rim when young. Clean, fruity nose with hints of raspberry and woodland fruit. Dry, distinct, full-bodied and austere. Vinification Traditional red wine vinification. Maceration on the skins for 8-10 days in stainless steel tanks. Maturation, partly in barriques and partly in oak barrels, for no more than 6 months so as to preserve freshness and fruit purity. (6 x 75 cl)
