Powerful, yet elegant display of fruit and oak, which is well married together. "Mellow fruit on the nose, followed by nicely balanced apple fruit and pleasing acidity. A delicious gingerbread and vanilla finish." .
Here is a new wine for us, offered for the sheer challenge of producing an international variety competitor. The most suitable grapes were selected from several vineyards in the San Benedetto di Lugana area, and the wine was fermented in oak and matured in new barriques for 6 months. This Chardonnay was crafted to provide heightened sensory experiences, rich aromatics, and a complex structure. It is a rich, pleasurable wine in which all the elements of its sensory complexity combine to create a powerful personality. (6 x 75 cl)
The wine has a ruby red colour, delicate almond bouquet and a dry, velvety flavour. An outstanding example of how good Valpolicella can be. Grape Varieties 70% Corvina Veronese, 20% Rondinella, 5% Sangiovese & 5% Molinara Maturation and Vinification Hand harvested from 24 year old vines situated in the Sant' Ambrogio hills. Following the harvest, the grapes are delicately pressed. The juice remains in contact with the skins for 12 days and is then aged for 6 months in stainless steel tanks and a further 6-8 months in oak barrels before release. (12 x 37.5 cl)
