The Manciat Poncets, who owns the domaine, believe that great wine is born in the vineyards and they work hard in they're immaculately kept vineyards. This wine maintains strict quality standards which include harvesting done entirely by hand and whole cluster pressing for this un-oaked wine. While the work, and the work of their predecessors, is rewarded by the extraordinary quality of their wines, this is one of the top small domaines producing Pouilly Fuissé and Mâcon Charnay and the wines get high marks from virtually everybody. A light straw coloured wine with a crisp nose of chalky minerals and wet slate, and hints of white fruit that follow through onto the palate. Nice acidity and flavours of lemon zest, grapefruit culminates in a clean finish.
