The wines of Mont Olivet have gained the reputation as one of the very best Chateauneuf-du-Papes. Mont Olivet has been made in the traditional style by the Sabon family dating back to 1547. The current winemakers are the sons of the legendary Joseph Sabon. A lovely evolved garnet coloured wine displaying a complex nose showing sweet cherry fruit. It is round, broad, and medium to full-bodied, with no hard edges. (12 x 75 cl)

Its colour is usually dark purple in the first years, slowly evolving towards a deep, intense ruby. Over time, the opulent fruit aromas are enhanced with spicy and smoky notes which, in turn, evolve into a rounded and delicate bouquet. Similarly, on the palate the powerful young fruits acquire rich, toasty flavours which develop into a wine of considerable finesse and elegance. At every stage of this maturation, the tannin structure remains present and complex which ensures that the wine has enormous ageing potential. (12 x 75 cl)
