Now three generations of the family are present together: the patriarch Antonio, his two sons and his grandchildren. The Argiolas owned vineyards at Turriga, in the Selegas area, near Piscina Trigus supply all the grapes for this fantastic wine. Argiolas consider this their best and most worthwhile of all our vineyards, at an altitude of approximately 230 metres above sea level the exposition is truly excellent. As soon as the so-called 'Finissage' fermentation is complete, which occurs immediately after the malo-lactic stage, the wine is stored in new, French oak casks (Troncais et Allier) for approximately 18 months, during which three passages and one collage are carried out. After ageing in wood, the wine is immediately bottled in order to enhance the development of the wines bouquet. Due to ageing in new oak this wine is a Dark, but intense, ruby red colour, while the bouquet is full-bodied and elegant. The palate is well-rounded, heavy with an extremely individual and pleasing structure that is complemented by the refined tannins and vanilla-oak flavours. Very limited availability.
