Description:
An excellent wine that is ready to drink now or can be kept for a few years. The wine is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes harvested from the Montalcino estate and is aged in wood barrels for 12 to 15 months.
A single vineyard of 36 year old vines situated on a natural amphitheatre provide the fruit for the Cerretalto. A unique microclimate, low yield and 2 year ageing in French oak barrels combine to produce a wine with massive character and concentration displaying robust fruit and a superb, persistent finish. Only produced in years with best quality grapes. (6 x 75 cl)
A modern style Brunello di Montalcino that was only aged in small oak barrels for 2 years. The result is a wine showing aromas of fine cedar and characterised by supple, velvety fruit that are well balanced and fresh through to the finish. (6 x 75 cl)
Il Paradiso di Manfredi is a tiny estate of 2.5 hectares in the heart of Montalcino. Manfredi purchased the estate in 1958 and worked on it throughout his life until he died in 1982 when his son Florio took over. Adopting many biodynamic methods and hand picking the fruit, great care is taken from the vineyard to the winery. After spending about 10 months in Slovonian oak this deep dark Sangiovese wine is showing good dark fruit aromas that develop on the palate and through to the good finish. (12 x 75 cl)
