In 1990, after discovering promising potential vineyard property in the Casablanca Valley, Agustin Huneeus realized his dream of returning to Chile to found Veramonte. Veramonte's Casablanca Valley is surrounded by coastal mountain ranges creating a diversity of unique microclimates and terroirs. While the close proximity to the Pacific Ocean provides ideal growing and ripening conditions. A rich and spicy Merlot with some exotic touches of eucalyptus and tobacco on the palate. The six months in French and American oak barriques gives a lovely toasty edge to the typically smooth, rounded finish.
