Rich creamy lemon fruit, spicy and clove scented, partially oaked. This wine is consistently good vintage after vintage and if you can manage to keep a bottle, as it ages it will develop richer, more honeyed Semillon flavours. (12 x 75 cl)
Small parcels of this wine have been held back in Peter Lehmann's Tanunda Cellars for the discerning wine lover who appreciates the delicious, rich, full-flavoured characters of bottle-aged Semillon. The Reserve Semillon is made from the very best Semillon of the vintage. When young, the Reserve Semillons are delicate and stylish with steely acidity. They mature slowly in the bottle, developing characteristic honey on the palate while still retaining their tight, firm, reserved structure. Colour: Attractive bright green gold Bouquet: Rich lifted nose showing classic lemon flower, bees wax and lanolin. Palate: Medium bodied taut palate showing honeyed development. It has a good tight acidity and a very long finish. Completely un-oaked, the wine is deliciously youthful, yet complex. (6 x 75 cl)
The winemakers aim to refine and develop a sweet, late-picked botrytis Semillon. Not one which is cloying, heavy and an over-powering sweet "blockbuster" of a wine. The hallmark of the Peter Lehmann Botrytis Semillon is a sweet wine of amazing freshness, wonderful flavour and tantalising complexity. Fruit Source: Selected Barossa Valley vineyards and, for the first time, the Peter Lehmann Wines own Semillon vineyard. Colour: Bright, burnished gold Bouquet: Honeyed citrus characters with notes of botrytis Palate: Delicious white peach and apricot flavours with a beautiful balance between the natural acids and grape sugar. It has a superb long clean finish. (12 x 37.5 cl)
Grenache grown in the Barossa Valley of South Australia produces a lively, deliciously lighter style of red wine packed with fresh juicy raspberry and cherry fruit flavours. (12 x 75 cl)
This wine is a vibrant, clear light fuschia in colour with a rim of blue. On the nose are freshly picked raspberries and hints of rose petals. It is a beautifully balanced wine on the palate with excellent structure, delicious fresh summer berries on the middle palate and a zinging finish from the natural grape acidity. A truly refreshing wine. The heritage Barossa Grenache vineyards produce wines of delicious soft berry fruits and superb balancing acidity. These vineyards are located in the Light Pass, Stonewall, Greenock and Koonunga districts. Serve lightly chilled and enjoy with an Antipasto platter; Mediterranean style salads; grilled fish; barbecued, marinated prawns and light pasta dishes. (12 x 75 cl)
Some of the grapes destined for the renowned Eight Songs Shiraz also go into Futures. The result is a big, deep, dark, blackfruited wine with woody cinnamon spice. Almost chewy there is so much plummy Barossa fruit in here. (12 x 75 cl)
