Classic Sauvignon Blanc nose with ripe, minerally fruit on the palate From the highly respected appellation Menetou-Salon close to Sancerre. Domaine Henry Pelle is one of the most revered producers of this style of wine and this is their top wine, with grapes sourced from a small "clos de blanchaise" within their estate. Low-yield vine fruit is selected, adding concentration and finesse to the wine. (12 x 75 cl)

This red from the commune of Morogues is made from Pinot Noir and has a clear garnet colour, not much darker than a dark rose. It shows rather vegetal green-tomato aromas over vinous red fruit at first, and hits the palate with a lean and herbal first impression; but a little time in the glass sees the nose add pleasant spicy notes of cinnamon and cloves, and the flavour develops full, almost plush red fruit with plenty of lemony acidity to give it structure. This wine is given a long fermentation of 1 to 2 months and kept on the lees resulting in a wine full of extract with evident 'terroi' character.
