Koonunga Hill is a multi-district blend based on Barossa, McLaren Vale and Coonawarra fruit. Here the Winemakers seek to maintain its style, weight and concentration each year, regardless of vintage conditions. Premium grapes from some of the best white wine regions in South australia have been carefully selected and blended. The two varieties used complement each other admirably, with Semillon supplying the middle palate and length while the Sauvignon Blanc the fresh and lifted bouquet. This has produced a pale straw coloured wine with vibrant green hues, while the intense, vibrant and lifted aromas show an array of fruits including passionfruit and a subtle lemon/lime nuance. A medium-bodied wine, showing great balance between fresh, vibrant fruit and soft, mouthwatering acidity, the palate displays hallmark sauvignon blanc characters with trademark lychee notes. This is supported by the Semillon that provides a lime-splice generosity which complements the mid and back palate through to the enjoyably fresh finish. (6 x 75 cl)
