Previously a member of the local co-op the Belle family have rapidly made a name for themselves as a producer to watch. 'Saturated dark red coloured wine it has super ripe yet subdued aromas of gunflint, beefsteak tomato, dark chocolate, licorice and smoky oak. Then sweet, fat and full in the mouth, with almost exotic ripeness for the year. But the flavours of this rather voluptuous Hermitage are still inexpressive. Immensely concentrated with deep, brooding, almost opaque fruit. Well balanced, the new oak never dominating the finely textured fruit.
