Santi L'INFINITO Chiaretto di Bardolino Classico DOC Veneto

The Wine: light ruby red; vinous on the nose with cherry, raspberries and vanilla notes; dry taste, clean, particularly flavour-some with an aftertaste of cherry and bitter almonds. Vinification: the mature grapes are picked at the end of September and are vinified traditionally in red with 7 days maceration; fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts to give a better character. Sangiovese is vinified alone, once the fermentation is over it spends a little time in new American oak barriques then is blended with the rest at the beginning of January. Ageing: 4 months in stainless steel; couple of months in barriques for sangiovese. Area: Calmasino di Bardolino Vine: Corvina, Rondinella, Sangiovese and Molinara Grapes. Hectares: 8. 64. 64 ha The Vineyard: Cà Bordenis is placed in Calmasino di Bardolino and counts for 8.64.64 ha of vineyard. The training system is a modified Sylvoz with South East exposure on a Morainic glacial soil, rich in calcium, hard and stony; the yields of grape is 110 quintals/ha. (6 x 75 cl)

The Wine: bright ruby red; the bouquet is intense and complex, with recalls of bush fruits and bitter almonds, fern, violets and spices. Dry taste, full, warm and harmonious with an elegant aftertaste of cherries and bitter almonds. Vinification: the ripe grapes are hand picked at the beginning of October; traditional vinification in red with 10-12 days on skins maceration; fermentation takes place at 28-30ºC. Ageing: 12 mounths in Slavonian oak; after bottling it refines at least 6 months in the bottle. Area: Commune of Illasi Vine: Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara Grapes. The Vineyard: 15 ha of vineyards situated in the Castle area in the Commune of Illasi at an height of 132-160 metres south west exposed. The soil is mainly composed of limestone and stones, loose with layers from the Cretaceous era. The training system is veronese overhead trellis with a production of 3.3 Kg per vine; the yields are 100 quintals/ha. (12 x 37.5 cl)

The Wine: Valpolicella Solane (6 x 75 cl)

Tommasi Viticoltori is a family firm founded in 1902 by Giacomo Tommasi and today the estate is run by the 4th generation of family. From grandfather Giacomo's tiny vineyard, the Tommasi estate has grown steadily and now extends over 135 hectares of hillside vineyard blessed by mother nature, not only by a magnificent landscape, but more importantly by its perfect suitability for grapes. The family owns exceptionally well situated estates for the production of high quality white wine in the D.O.C. regions of Soave and near Lake Garda for Lugana, Custoza and Bardolino . In addition, it has vineyards in Valdadige, a valley created by the Adige river in the mountains north of the province of Verona. This Rose is a blend of Corvina Veronese , Rondinella and Dindarella . Aged 4 months in stainless steel tanks this light rose coloured wine is showing very fruity and fresh aromas with lots of floral notes that follow through onto the palate delivering a fresh finish. The Wine: bright straw yellow; fragrant and persistent bouquet with specific notes of flowers , recalls of musk and apple; dry taste, fresh and well balanced with a fruity long and pleasant aftertaste of ripe fruits and sweet almonds. Vinification: the grapes are picked at the end of September when the degree of ripeness is perfect. 50% of the grapes is vinified (6 x 75 cl)

Seven gentlemen, on august 23, 1933, set an appointment in the offices of Francesco Betteloni, notary public, to sign the deed giving birth to the Cantina Sociale Valpolicella. Today, the Cantina Valpolicella directs and coordinates the production of approximately 200 grape-growers with vineyards covering a total of 450 hectares. All these are located in the classic Valpolicella hillside zone. All have the same dedication and passion as the original founders. They work together and in their mutual interests to turn member producer's grapes into high quality wines, performing activities that improve winemaking and grape-growing knowledge and culture. The vineyards are situated on about 450 hectares in the classical Valpolicella Hills area Northwest of Verona, which are mostly concentrated in the town of Negrar. The most used system of cultivation is the traditional Pergola system, with about 2,500-3,000 plants per hectare, while the average age of the vines is 20 years. The cultivation of the vineyard has among its primary objectives the maximum possible degree of respect for nature: for this reason, biological techniques are used, and pesticides are used as little as possible. A blend of Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara this wine is made from grapes located in the heart of the classic Valpolicella zone on the Negrar hills. The harvest is done entirely by hand, with many selections for special wines, such as the Amarone, produced from single vineyards to exalt its characteristics. This wine is a Rose and violet coloured wine with a delicate fruity and floral bouquet. The palate is dry, elegant and soft with sweet fruit hints. Available in half bottles.
