Indeed, back in 1989 the Domaine du Tariquet Ugni Blanc/Colombard won White Wine of the Year at the International Wine Challenge. Domaine Tariquet is the property where Yves Grassa lives on the family estate and it is here that he tends his most precious vines. The style of winemaking is always one of freshness, elegance and finesse and the Domaine Tariquet range is no exception. This Gascony domaine is owned by the Grassa family who are one of the best producers in this beautiful corner of France. Commited to protecting the environment both in the vineyards and the winery, they use organic fertiliser and the use of sulphites has been reduced to a minimum. Maceration of the grapes and a long, cool fermentation maintains the freshness and fruit flavours in the finished wine.
