The Monnier family have owned this estate for over 10 generations and this wine is created from grapes of the 1er Cru vineyard in Volnay. Carefully attention in the vineyard, including attentive pruning, is used to limit production and increase the quality, concentration and flavour of the grapes. In the 7th century this vineyard belonged to the Bishopric of Strasbourg. A bishop in the 8th century donated it to the Saint Landelin Abbey. According to the deeds of the time these vines were chosen from among the best in Alsace. More recently the Mure family bought this vineyard in 1935. The wines from the Clos Saint Landelin are profound and delicate with marked fruity aromas. They are characterised by their perfect balance and their ageing qualities. (12 x 75 cl)
