This exceptional wine, aged in French oak, is full-bodied, rich in colour and tannins, and offers splendid aromas of violets. Fragrant, with a complex bouquet of red berries, vanilla cedars and rich spices, it is deep, full and powerful with lingering chocolatey fruit and beautiful balance. (6 x 75 cl)
An oak-aged 100% Cabernet Sauvignon with all the outstanding characteristics of the famous Bordeaux grape with its rich, dark ruby colours and bouquet of complex claret-like aromas. A full-bodied, elegant wine. (6 x 75 cl)
A rich and full-bodied Merlot, aged in French oak and displaying stylish cedary-blackberry fruit aromas with hints of green pepper and spice. Full-bodied on the palate, well-structured with excellent underlying concentration and a long and aromatic finish. (6 x 75 cl)
An extraordinary wine made for Bernardo Weinert's own personal cellar. Wonderful deep colour, profound, rich aromas and concentrated, luxurious flavours. (6 x 75 cl)
A blend of 50% Malbec, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot. This developed, cask aged red wine displays its Spanish heritage with mature, developed, spicy Rioja flavours. Soft, full, well-balanced with considerable length and style. (6 x 75 cl)
100% unoaked Malbec with fine berry fruit aromas. Supple, attractive fruit in this easy-drinking red. A well-made wine with good balance and weight. (12 x 75 cl)
Altos las Hormigas only produce Malbec and have in a short space of time built a reputation as one of Mendoza's top five producers of this variety. The Altos Las Hormigas Malbec has a fabulously intense colour, a floral nose with wild violets and spice that gives way to a smooth and rich fruit on the palate that is nicely balanced by a firmness on the finish. The vineyards are situated in Lujàn de Cuyo, one of Mendoza’s premier growing areas. The estate was created by Alberto Antonini and Antonio Morescalchi following their first trip to Argentina in 1995, and is now regarded as one of the best producers of Malbec in Mendoza. (12 x 75 cl)
This red is a blend of Malbec and a little Cabernet Sauvignon . The 10 months in oak adds weight and complexity to this blackfruited, richly concentrated Malbec. A deep dark red coloured wine with purple and violet tinges, it is showing an intense nose, with aromas of ripe plums, cherries, blueberries and dries figs. The floral notes of violets, red roses and liquorice provide this wine with the right touch of elegance, while the wood seems to be well integrated with spices such as vanilla, cinnamon and chocolate. Finally, the expressive body with notes of candied red fruits gives way to the well-balanced sweet tannins and its excellent acidity. Long, fruity and spicy finish this is a wine to enjoy. (6 x 75 cl)
Characteristic Intense red colour. Aromas of cherries and spices. The palate detects balanced tannins produced by 3 months ageing in French oak, satiny, good structure, fine modern. (12 x 75 cl)
