Description:
Domaine Gerard Thomas St Aubin 1er Cru Murgers des Dents de Chien from France, Burgundy, St Aubin by Domaine Gerard Thomas Rich Dry Whites (12 x 75 cl)
Excellent integration of fruit and oak combines with a lovely underlying minerality that stretches right across the palate and lingers on the finish. Good extract and harmony and deliciously lively. (12 x 75 cl)
The Larue brothers have only recently started to bottle a significant proportion of their production and are now building a new ageing cellar and bottling facility. They make beautifully clean uncomplicated wines from St. Aubin Murgers des Dents de Chien and Puligny-Montrachet Garenne in regrettably small quantities. (6 x 75 cl)
At Domaine Francoise et Denis Clair Jean-Baptiste now works alongside his father, Denis, and together the two of them are maintaining the progressive nature of this family domaine. They enjoy a good spread of vineyards across the appellations of Saint-Aubin and Santenay and make wines that display the best qualities of these often underrated villages. (12 x 75 cl)
Mid yellow-gold. Very ripe and fat nose with good varietal character. Almost hints of quince. Good ripe palate with middling acidity. Good and long. Drinking well now. (12 x 75 cl)
