Domaine Cornu Savigny-les-Beaune
An elegant wine showing explosive cherry fruit on nose while flavours of spice gives added complexity on the palate. A pinot Noir with length and power through to the finish. The Cornu family established itself in the town of Ladoix in 1870 and founded the domaine shortly thereafter in 1875. Edmond Cornu assumed command of the estate in 1956 and in 1959 began to bottle the fruits of his labour. Up to that time all wines made at the estate had been sold to negociants. However, as the private clientele increased, Cornu also expanded the domaine. With the ascension of his son, Pierre, to full participation in the domaine, this dynamic family has aggressively pursued additional opportunities to acquire prime vineyard sites. (6 x 75 cl)

Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret Savigny-les-Beaune
The soil of Savigny-les-Beaune is ideally suited to growing vines and is also comparatively deep. The wines from this village are moderately intense in colour. They have an elegant, fairly powerful bouquet, dominated by Morello cherries, blackcurrants, raspberries, modulating over the years towards strawberries and hints of woodland undergrowth. Subtle, with discreet tannins, and a low acid content, they have a light, open structure which gives them a feminine image. Perfumed and mellow, they have a rich bouquet. They have fire and strength, but above all it is their exquisite delicacy and finesse. The Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret, renamed since 1945, now operates, in the purist of the burgundy tradition, a large vineyard, from the Cote de Nuits to the Cote de Beaune, from Marsannay to the south of Dijon to Puligny-Montrachet, including all the most prestigious villages of the Cote : Gevrey-Chambertin, Vougeot, Nuits Saint Georges and Savigny les Beaune. Today, the property accounts today for approximately 30 hectares, spread on 33 different appellations. (12 x 75 cl)
