A supple and elegant wine with fine subtle tannins and a long aromatic finish. Chateau Dartigues was restored in 1734 for the Marquise d'Alphonse, who was famous in the region for her numerous feasts. Her campaign to enhance and lay out the ten hectare park that surrounds the chateau can still be seen today from the beautiful gardens. An ornamental terrace overlooks the valley providing a magnificent view. In the same year the Marquise built a fountain which still produces natural spring water, now known as the source. (6 x 75 cl)
A blend of 65% Merlot 15% Cabernet Sauvignon 10% Cabernet Franc & 10% Petit Verdot. Deep red in color, black and red fruits in its bouquet, plus a hint of vanilla. Full-fruited, elegantly firm taste with restrained tannins. (12 x 75 cl)
Great value proper claret with toasty tannins, vibrant grippy berry fruit and a great finish. Chateau Pierrail is renowned for its deep dark red colour, fine concentration and suppleness due the ripe Merlot. The aroma of back and red fruits including blackcurrants, blackberries, as well as prunes gives way to subtle toasted overtones of vanilla. Well balanced, long in the mouth this Bordeaux Superior offers a good potential to improve with age. (12 x 75 cl)
