Description:
Wine St yle A combination of modern and traditional winemaking techniques has produced a wine with intense fruit, crisp acidity and fine texture. Vineyards This wine is produced from grapes grown in the renowned Brancott region of Marlborough. Careful vineyard management enabled us to pick the grapes at optimal maturity resulting in great flavour and acid balance. Winemaking The grapes were harvested in the cool of the evening and immediately pressed to retain the delicate fruit flavours and aromas. The j uice was cool fermented and then allowed to rest on the yeast lees for five months. A small portion of the j uice was fermented and aged in new French oak barriques and then blended with the tank fermented wine prior to bottling.
Wine Style A vibrant wine with attractive tropical flavours balanced with crisp acidity and a lingering finish. An ideal wine to enjoy on its own or with food. Winemaking The grapes were machine harvested in the cool of the evening. After pressing, the juice was cold fermented to retain the more delicate flavours and aromas that Sauvignon Blanc is noted for. After resting in tank for several months the wine is bottled. (12 x 75 cl)
Wine Style An elegant wine displaying the floral and citrus aromas expected of classic Riesling. Enjoy this wine as an aperitif or with food. Winemaking The grapes were harvested and immediately pressed to ensure the juice retains the delicate flavours and aromas of the grape. After a long cool fermentation, the wine is left to age in contact with yeast lees for several months. The wine is then bottled. (12 x 75 cl)
Wine St yle A wine displaying layers of flavour and interest as a result of fruit from a range of vineyard sites combined with traditional winemaking techniques. Vineyard This wine is produced from grapes grown on six vineyards located at the Western end of Waiheke I sland. Within these vineyards we grow five different clones of Chardonnay, each contributing different characters to the final wine, resulting in a more complex and appealing wine. Winemaking The grapes were hand harvested and whole bunched pressed. The j uice was settled for a short period prior to racking to French oak barriques for fermentation and maturation. The wine was aged in barrel on the yeast lees for 8 months prior to blending and bottling. We blended the wine from 8 different lots of wine, reflecting the different clones and vineyard sites. (12 x 75 cl)
Cloudy Bay Te Koko is an individual expression of the Sauvignon Blanc grape, a complex and savoury wine that is both deliciously aromatic and richly textured. Aromas of lychee and honeysuckle intermingle with the scent of thyme and a hint of smoky oak. Released as a matured wine, Te Koko is a full-bodied, alternative style of Sauvignon Blanc ... a complimentary addition to the Cloudy Bay range. (6 x 75 cl)
