Probably the best of the white wines from the Cotes Chalonnaises. The Chateau de la Saule, the largest and most prestigious domaine in the appellation of Montagny. It has been in the Roy family since 1805. Alain Roy, the current proprietor, has been responsible for the entire domaine since 1972 and continues the tradition of producing top quality wines. Pale straw in colour with green glints. A delightful nose of almonds, honey, butter and vanilla oak. On the palate the wine is fresh and lively as promised on the nose, finishing on a slightly richer and 'fatter note'. Delicious. (12 x 75 cl)
