Winemakers Notes Five year old vines produced ripe fruit at 24.5 brix. Hand harvested and sorted at our vineyards in Te Kauwhata. Fermented and hand plunged in small open top fermenters, followed by 12 months barrique maturation in a combination of new and aged French oak barriques. The Wine This structured wine presents rich fruit and savoury aromas, with warm ripe plums, cherries and strawberries, through to a soft fulfilling velvety finish. The Nose Ripe bramble fruit, dark cherries, rhubarb and savoury spicy characters. Some earthy tones developing. Colour has medium intensity. A touch of sweet vanillin oak on the nose also. Palate Soft and round in the palette, warm ripe plums, cherries and strawberries Finish Plums and strawberries and vanillin oak linger with medium intensity on the finish. Ageing Potential Ideal drink young style but will develop well over the next 3-4 years (12 x 75 cl)
Organic, vegetarian. A lightly oaked Chardonnay made in a deliberately uncomplicated style and blended with care for everyday enjoyment. The young fruit was fermented in a mix of stainless steel tanks and small French oak barrels. It has a coconut and pea (12 x 75 cl)
The fruit was harvested fully ripe at 23 Brix with 25% tank fermented and 75% barrel fermented in new and older wood. Full malo lactic fermentation and 10 months in oak has produced a full bodied wine, with lime aromas and a hint of toasted oak. (12 x 75 cl)
