Le Brun de Neuville CUVEE CHARDONNAY Blanc de Blancs Brut Non Vintage Champagne from France, Champagne by Champagne Le Brun de Neuville Dry Sparkling (12 x 75 cl)
Established in Epernay since 1839, De Venoge naturally has very close links with the Côte des Blancs and Sézanne, the two main growing areas for chardonnay. So since the middle of the 19th century our Vintage Blanc de Blancs has been made with a blend of 80% grapes from the Côte des Blancs and 20% from the area around Sézanne. It therefore stands out from other Blancs de Blancs made in Champagne and shows the superbly balanced acidity and structure of the grapes from the Côte and the vinosity of those from Sézanne. Like all great white wines De Venoge Blanc de Blancs can be drunk as an aperitif, with seafood or with fish. We have found that our Blanc de Blancs tends to develop much more complex aromas if it is cellared for two or three years. (6 x 75 cl)
Appearance: Delicate yellow gold colour with a continuous stream of small bubbles. The champagne has a remarkable visual appeal. Nose: Very expressive, a combination of creme fraiche, dried flowers and jam. Palate: First impressions confirm this Chamapgne has a strong personality. Rich and full flavoured this is a bold and well proportioned wine. To plant vines and work unceasingly to regularly produce high quality grapes represents a real challengw in the Champagne country. The climate is very severe and is a continual obstacle. Really sunny years are rare, but they yield exceptional wine, which requires 3 or 4 years of additional ageing in the cellars. A blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, this well structured and well balanced Champagne satisfies the connoiseurs of mature Champagnes- the Vintage champagne is the perfect accompaniment for any meal calling for excellant Champagne. (6 x 75 cl)
Appearance: Yellow copper-gold tints and a persistent lively mousse. Nose: Very expressive with a distinguished scent of brioche and dried fruits. Palate. Clean and sincere with a flavour of dried fruits and cognac. Finesse, delicacy and subtlety in perfect harmony. The long lasting finish gives further emphasis to its perfect proportions. Champagne connoisseurs habitually say you can judge a Champagne by its Brut. Montaudon elaborates a real Brut, where the minmal dosage does not mask the true character of the blend- it is an assemblage of the three grape varieties: mainly Pinot Noir, with Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. The Brut is the par excellence Champagne: fresh lively and elegant, it can be served on all occasions. (12 x 37.5 cl)
