Bone dry Chenin from 70-80 year old vines. South facing slopes, hand harvesting and very restricted yields result in a wonderful, concentrated and very impressive wine. (6 x 75 cl)
Naturally ripe grapes undergo a very slow fermentation resulting in a dry wine with only a hint of residual sugar. There is no dosage whatsoever. The result is a wine of delightful purity and raciness (6 x 75 cl)
These vineyards are planted on the slopes leading down to the Loire River and in the many valleys which streak the plateau. This wine is made from the Chenin blanc grape which grows well on calcareous and siliceous soils. The Vouvray is medium-dry, with a subtle sweetness that comes from the late picking of grapes with a high concentration of sugar. It offers fresh grape aromas and ages well, sometimes for 100 years.
