Tollot-Beaut were among the group of pioneering Burgundians who started producing and bottling their own wines in the early part of the 20th Century. As rich in tradition as this Domaine is, under Nathalie Tollot, no-one rests on their laurels and a premium is placed on quality. Money is spent on new oak every year to ensure a good stock of healthy barrels which provide the perfect resting place for their magnificent wines. However, it is the vineyard where most of the investment goes on. They employ twice as many people per hectare than any of their neighbours to restrict the vigour of the vines and therefore increase the chances of ripe concentrated grapes being produced every year. The wines remain respectful to their origins while sharing characteristic spicy, toasty and cherry fruit flavours. (6 x 75 cl)

Since Frank Follin inherited vines originally under the control of the Louis Latour empire, he has been making sublime wines of concentration, purity and complexity. On his 6 ha of vineyards all of his vines from Aloxe-Corton, Corton, Pernand-Vergelesses and Romanee St Vivant, are tended by hand and respectfully protected from any form of insecticide or pesticide. A qualified geologist, Frank has developed wines that are a great reflection of the Terroir. Here the Corton vines are planted on the chalk or 'terre blanche' soil that seems to give the wine a seductively floral bouquet and delicacy of fruit. Pinot Noir is the classic grape of red burgundy with a deep red almost purple colour this wine has intense floral aromas. Good tannic structure is evident while the intense mulberry fruit flavours dominate this very well made wine showing a long finish. (12 x 75 cl)

A qualified geologist, Frank has developed wines that are a great reflection of the Terroir. Here the very old vines of Les Vercots are grown on heavy, clay soil to produce firm brooding wines. This has produce a creamy, rich, complex, almost nutty Pinot Noir with terrific depth and concentration. Mineral with great depth and balance this is a wine to savour. (12 x 75 cl)
