The Rothbury Estate, a working winery since 1968, is situated within Australia's oldest wine-growing region, the famous Hunter Valley. It has long been known for its diversity of wines and for recognising the potential for winemaking in the Hunter, as well as the surrounding areas of Mudgee, Cowra and Orange. The fruit for this wine was sourced from the company’s own vineyards and selected growers in premium vineyard districts in South Eastern Australia, and once in the winery it was fermented in stainless steel with subtle oak influence. The Rothbury Estate Blue Label Cabernet Sauvignon is bright purple red in the glass. Aromas of cassis and spice combine with cedar and berry on the palate, which is supported by soft tannins. (12 x 75 cl)
A rich and vibrant wine on the nose with red berry and cherry aromas. The wine is well balanced on the palate with vibrant fruit characters of blackcurrants and berries. The gentle oak is well integrated along with the tannins, adding to the silky mouth feel and soft structure of the wine. (12 x 75 cl)
