La Chablisienne PAS si PETIT Petit Chablis AC

Contrary to what might be expected, La Chablisienne has a comparatively small holding of Petit Chablis. This example is so good that it would confound the cognoscenti. Finely balanced, round and quite rich. Recommended. (6 x 75 cl)

From the outlying parts of the Chablis region comes this dry, steely white wine, similar in style to its more famous counterpart, only somewhat lighter and offering keen value. (6 x 75 cl)

Guy Mothe built up the highly successful Domaine de Colombier by starting with a tiny holding and then acquiring small parcels of land that came up for sale over the years culminating in 33 hectares of vineyards. Most of the vineyards are dedicated to the production of AC Chablis, although there are significant holdings in 1er Cru Fourchaume and Grand Cru Bougros. The straight Chablis benefits from vines on the Grand Cru side of the river, giving them a buttery richness that balances their natural acidity. (24 x 37.5 cl)
