Whilst well known in the Loire Valley, the Chenin Blanc really produces at its fruit driven best when subjected to warmth and sunshine. Both are available in the Cape where Stowells have worked with the growers and selected a blend of the very best vats. Fully ripened grapes picked under the direction of the winemaker, then fermented cool to enhance aromas. A straw-coloured medium dry white wine with fresh aromas of ripe apples and soft melon flavours, balanced with crisp fruity acidity and a full finish. (1 x 10 Litres)

After low temperature fermentation, the Colombard grape is blended with rich, ripe Chardonnay to give a complex, full flavoured wine. A portion of the Colombard and all of the Chardonnay has been oak matured to provide further dimensions of character. The distinctive tropical, fruit aromas of the Colombard combine well with the honeyed Chardonnay fruit and oak flavours to produce a full, balanced wine with a pleasing length and finish.
