Description:
This delicious dry white is unoaked and exhibits strong European type characteristics, but with the intense rich style so popular from the new world. Flavoursome and refreshing, with a grassy green vibrancy and a long aftertaste.
A lively melon and peach aroma with a touch of oak on the palate. The style is elegant but with bold ripe fruit and a complex creamy flavour making this like a quality white Burgundy. (12 x 75 cl)
This is a cool climate, full-bodied, dry red, which has red berry fruit with a touch of cassis and spicy soft tannins. A dollop of Merlot was added to give a smooth rounded softness and this is evident in the gentle oaky finish. (12 x 75 cl)
Variety: Shiraz Cabernet Merlot Colour: a pink red hue with a deep pink red / red centre. Bouquet: Aromas of white spice, tarry anise, and lifted candied plum are underpinned beautifully by earthy black and red berry fruits, on a bed of vanillan coconut, providing a complex but intricate Rampant red nose. Palate: Voluminous but sweet, the juicy mid-palate is balanced precisely by the slippery chewy tannins. The vintage has given this Rampant vitality with a medium to long length of favour and excellent back palate focus. (12 x 75 cl)
The cooler west coast, south of Perth produces Australia's most European style wines. Fresh and vibrant with a fragrant herbaceous aroma, grassy and gooseberry flavours followed by a crisp dry finish. Great with seafood and oriental cuisine. (12 x 75 cl)
Description A refreshing, clean classical Margaret river stye, with crisp zesty citrus and plenty of complex rich fruit. Well balanced and persistent on the finish. This wine is great on its own for aperitif or with light dishes such as seafood and salads. Winemaking Method: Each variety is fermented separately. The grapes are whole bunch pressed. Then the must is racked and the temperature is brought to 16ÂșC for a slow, stainless steel tank fermentation to retain maximum flavours. After: The wines are left to settle and cold stabilised and then blended together prior to being earth filtered and bottled. Varieties: 77% Semillon, 23% Sauvignon Blanc (12 x 75 cl)
The fruit for this wine is grown on Cullens own vineyards and it is made predominantly from the traditional Bordeaux blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, and is bottled in a Bordeaux bottle. However, the wine does contain a small amount of Chardonnay and this has added complexity and a touch of richness to the middle palate, without changing the basic structure of the wine. Showing a straw colour with green tinges it has a complex blend of fresh custard apple, lemon and lime aromas. On the palate it is vibrant, rich, round and complex, reflecting the range of varieties in the blend with the Chardonnay providing citric flavours through to the great acid finish. (6 x 75 cl)
Description A rich red plum and ruby hue. A refined wine with a touch of white pepper, floral lift, wild black cherries and velvety tannin. A full flavoured, yet elegant style reflecting the winemaker's philosophy and the southern Margaret River terroir typicity. Winemaking Pressing: Gentle whole bunch pressed. Method: The must is cool fermented in closed tank with daily remontage. No sulphur is added prior to fermentation. After malolactic fermentation in tank the wine is matured in new French oak for 18 months. After: Regular racking and minimal filtration is done to maintain the original flavours. (12 x 75 cl)
Description Brilliant raspberry colour. Soft, velvety texture achieved by gentle and carefully chosen use of new French oak. Cassis, truffles, red berries and floral overtones. A wine to enjoy now. But persistence of flavour will reward with more complexity after bottle aging. Perfect to munch with mild cheese, duck pasta or simply on its own. Winemaking Pressing: Whole bunch pressed. Method: The wine is racked into a closed tank, where it undergoes fermentation. A short maceration on the skins assures softness and allows the natural fruit characters to come through. It is then matured for eight months in oak and undergoes Malolactic fermentation. After: A minimal filtration is done to maintain maximum complexity and flavour. A screw cap closure was used for all the wine during bottling. (12 x 75 cl)
