The Particular Malbec has the intensity and silkiness characteristic of good Malbec. Good depth of colour and attractive perfumes of red fruits, violets and tobacco, with vanilla and spices on the palate. Rounded ripe tannins, full-bodied fruit and a long, intense finish. The Bianchi family winery was founded in 1928 by Italian immigrant Valentin Bianchi and now covers 350 hectares of vineyard. It is run by the third generation, headed by Enzo Bianchi. Until recently a sleeping giant that was dependent largely on the domestic market, they have undergone a gradual transformation and modernisation in the past few years. (12 x 75 cl)

The Particular wines are made from grapes selected from the best and oldest vineyards owned by Valentin Bianchi in San Rafael. This ‘Particular’ Cabernet Sauvignon has a good intensity, with deep colour and attractive perfumes of red fruits, particularly blackcurrant and plums. Full-bodied on the palate, with ripe tannins rounded out by the addition of the plummy Merlot and Syrah , this wine has nicely balanced oak and fruit, with a long finish. The ‘Los Primos’ Barbera has a delicate floral and strawberry aromas. On the palate it is a medium bodied wine with clean, fresh, soft ripe tannins and a fresh finish. This wine is sourced from the Doña Elsa Estate which is situated in Ram Caída, San Rafael, Mendoza at 750 metres above sea level. Rama Caída is among the coolest areas of San Rafael, with sandy calcareous soil of alluvial origin. A blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Malbec. The grapes were hand-picked and crushed before fermentation in temperature-controlled tanks. It is Intense black-red in colour, with perfumes of cassis and chocolate on the nose giving way to a robust but nicely balanced palate. Rounded ripe fruit with flavours of blackcurrants and blackberries are supported by soft, ripe tannins.
