Description: The Grand Vin is produced from carefully selected grapes (55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Franc) grown exclusively in the chateau's historic vineyard. Once in the winery the ripe grapes underwent gentle pressing and a carefully controlled maceration and fermentation process. Next, the wine was aged on lees in French oak barrels (33% new) for 12 months before bottling.

The result showcases Fronsac's terroir and the exceptional vintage characteristics, exhibiting fully ripe sweetness and complex flavours of herbs and red fruit.

Their mission is to make Chateau du Gaby, one of the Grands Crus of the 'Right Bank'. The vineyard is being groomed to produce the highest quality of grape. Vines are cultivated without the use of weed-killers and only organic fertilisers are utilised. A policy of 'Controlled Treatment' has been adopted to deal with disease and pests. (12 x 75 cl)
