Description:
Les Schistes is a delicate wine with a strong minerality which is typical of this soil. A blend of Grenache 60% Syrah 35% and Carignan 5% this is a well made wine with red fruit flavours.
From a small co-op in the heart of the Languedoc, this scrummy red is a blend of Syrah, Grenache and Black Carignan with spicy, concentrated blackfruit flavours, a hint of liquorice and a touch of tannin for a grippy finish. (12 x 75 cl)

Dark colour with purple hues the nose has vivid aromas of toast, coca, coffee, black olive tapenade, blackberry jam and pepper. Full, well rounded and pleasing, the palate combines strength and sweetness and should be decanted before serving. Acquired in 1850, Chateau Dournie has been the property of the Etienne family for more than 6 generations. By exploiting their geological diversity they produce vintages of great personality and aromatic delicacy. (6 x 75 cl)
