Vina Cousino Macul is situated on the outskirts of Santiago to the East, and has been owned and expertly run by the Cousino family since 1856. Dom Matias sent his son Luis to Bordeaux to obtain vine cuttings and insisted on the best from Margaux and Paquillac for his Cabernet Sauvignon and from Martillac in the Graves for his Semillon ans Sauvignon Blanc. Later he got Pinot Noir from Burgundy and Riesling from the Rheingau. Only the very best will do for the Cousino family, and that is reflected in the quality of theie wines. (12 x 75 cl)

Cousino-Macul has settled on a style of Riesling that is fermented to dryness and avoids wood aging. The result is an unusually deep-fruited and full-bodied Riesling with a distinctive personality. Displaying a ripe apple and floral aroma, this Riesling offers bright flavours of grapefruit, apple and citrus. Smooth and rich on the palate, it ends on a zesty note of lingering fruit.
