Mumm CUVEE NAPA Brut Californian Sparkling Wine

A charming pale salmon color introduces this wine, and follows with a bouquet of ripe Pinot Noir fruit. Part of the wine is initially fermented in the press, producing a soft fruity character that gives Blanc de Noirs its directness, while a small percentage of Chardonnay gives the wine power and structure (6 x 75 cl)

You'll note a persistent stream of very fine bubbles. The aroma is a fresh blend of fruits; golden delicious apples, pear and citrus lemon complex, with a light "bread rising" accent and faint nuances of toasted nuts which add to the complexity. The Chardonnay in the blend provides crisp acidity, citrus notes and structure as well as the signature faint greenish gold color. The Pinot Gris provides a complement of fuller fruit and spice components. The result is a distinctive, attractive combination of refreshing crispness, with a depth one would not expect from a wine with such a delicate color. (6 x 75 cl)

Jefferson Cuvee Cabernet Sauvignon displays aromatics of berries, blackberry, coffee, chocolate, while the oak is nicely woven into the thread with a richness of toffee and caramel. The flavours follow a very similar profile to the aroma profile, dark berries, bittersweet chocolate and coffee with the toasty oak. This wine is full-bodied and the tannins coat the mouth wonderfully and extend richly through the finish. (12 x 75 cl)
