Maison Paul Jaboulet Aine bought the Domaine Raymond Roure vineyard in 1996, from the family of the same name. It is situated in the commune of Gervans to the north of Tain l'Hermitage. Made from 40 to 60 year old Syrah vines this wine will spend 12 months in oak barrels, of which 20% are new wood. This has produced a deep garnet red coloured wine with an attractive brightness. Subtle and delicate notes of small, tart red berry aromas mix with sweet spices on the finish. The palate is both harmonious and complex while noble and silky tannins deliver through to the finish. (12 x 75 cl)
Beautifully rounded aromas of raspberry and cherry fruits. An enticing violet-ruby colour leads to a silky smooth, multi-faceted taste. Complex and rounded this is terrific drinking showing a clever balance between power and finesse. (24 x 37.5 cl)
