Full-bodied with notes of black raspberries intertwined with honeysuckle and toast. Explosive on the palate with outstanding richness, admirable glycerin, low acidity and high alcohol, the wine should be gorgeous to drink young yet age well for 12-15 years. (12 x 75 cl)

This is a very highly regarded and well-established estate, the brothers, Patrick and Christophe, Bonnefond took over from their father in the early nineties. With seven hectares of vines at his disposal, Patrick crafts very intense Syrahs into three different cuvees. Patrick is not afraid of new oak but the wines are concentrated enough to flourish with strong oak ageing, rather than be hindered by it. (12 x 75 cl)

Domaine Henri Gallet is run by Henri and his Son Philippe. The Gallets own 3.5 hectares of prime vineyards, mainly in the Cote Blonde and have adopted absolutely traditional vinification techniques such as using 600 litre 'demi-muid' barrels. Their one and only cuvee is firm and structured with an underlying succulent intensity of fruit. (12 x 75 cl)
