Cuvee Madame has 60% Muscadelle and 40 Semillon spending 2-3 years in oak. Glorious nose of apricot jam, tangerine essence, and subtle spicy oak. With its profound richness, blazingly vivid definition, huge body, viscous thickness , and finish that lasts for nearly a minute, this nectar constitutes one of the most extraordinary sweet wines that you can sup with a spoon. This deep red coloured wine has a nose oozing with chocolate, prunes and spicy notes. The palate is complex with bitter chocolate, black cherries and cinnamon characters leading to a very long, soft but powerful finish. 100% Merlot from a small 2 hectare vineyard located near Barbanne on the border of Pomerol, the character of this wine is developed through 18 months oak ageing to deliver a concentrated intense style. Up to 20% Cabernet Sauvignon gives this typical Lalande more backbone alongside the ripe and concentrated black cherry flavours of a good Merlot. Very elegant with structured tannins and a delicious finish. Produced from vines up to 50 years old this wine is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon from a small 2 hectare vineyard located near Barbanne on the border of Pomerol, the character of this wine is developed through 18 months oak ageing to deliver a concentrated intense style.
