Giacomo Borgogno Barolo Riserva DOCG
Bartolomeo Borgogno founded his winery in 1761; upon his death in 1794 his three sons took over control of the business, though only one, the youngest, Giacomo, persevered. This red comes from Nebbiolo grown in a limited area including eleven country villages around Barolo. With age this wine turns a garnet red with more and more evident orange reflections. The perfume and bouquet is ethereal, persisting, of an intense 'goudron' while the flavour is dry, harmonic, velvety showing a robust and generous body. (6 x 75 cl)

Borgogno LISTE Barolo DOCG
Bartolomeo Borgogno founded his winery in 1761; upon his death in 1794 his three sons took over control of the business, though only one, the youngest, Giacomo, persevered. This Barolo is made from the Nebbiolo grape while the vineyard is located in the "Liste" area, and was probably the first owned by Borgogno. The grapes are the last to be harvested, thanks to a constant exposure to the sun and to the exceptional climate. Additionally, the label is very old and it goes back to the second half of the past Century and the bottle is carries the heraldic symbol of the farm. This deep red coloured wine is balanced with the potential for long ageing
Giacomo Borgogno Barolo Classico
Bartolomeo Borgogno founded his winery in 1761; upon his death in 1794 his three sons took over control of the business, though only one, the youngest, Giacomo, persevered. The wine is a judicious blend of Nebbiolo grapes chosen from the finest hillside sites in the commune of Barolo. The winemaking process is a tribute to the great Barolos of the past and uses an extend 'submerged cap' maceration process in order to conjure up the special perfumes and tastes of this ancient tradition. The wine has tremendous substance and is intended to age for many years to arrive at the ultimate goal of balance and harmony. Alcohol, acids and tannin fuse together to form a powerful structure and the bouquet shows great complexity. (6 x 75 cl)
