Once the property of the Strozzi and Sonnino families, the name itself is thought to be of Etruscan origin and is first documented as a settlement in 1049. The property comprises 35 hectares. of vineyards as well as olive groves and woodland, a magnificent cellar, entirely dug out of the rock and roofed over with brick vaulting, and a small farm shop (6 x 75 cl)
