Marinella Camerani is on a mission to create authentic wines that are strongly connected to the local terroir. Manipulation and intervention are reduced to a minimum, in keeping with the ideal natural balance which is the principle that rules the estate. Continuous research and experimenting, both in the vineyard and in the winery, rediscovering old abandoned practices, techniques that have been replaced by modernity for its own sake, are the daily enterprise of Marinella and her family. Amarone made from half-shrivelled grapes to produce a wine which falls firmly into the 'impegnativo' category, this is beauty and the beast rolled into one: chewy plums, bitter cherries, mocha coffee and what Oz Clarke describes rather well as 'bruised sourness.' The grapes are sourced from various sites with an average altitude of 300 metres and dried in a south-facing breeze-cooled drying loft in small wooden crates, eventually pressed towards the end of February. The cold winter temperatures, the long period of fermentation on the skins and the use of wood during vinification encourage the development of the wine's unique aromas. (6 x 75 cl)
The grapes of the 'Corte Bra' estate are carefully selected, put into small wood crates and dried in well ventilated rooms for about 3 month. When the best grade of dryness is reached, the grapes are selected again. Only the best grapes are used for the production of this wine. The fermentation in warmed stainless steel tanks lasts for about 30 days and develops high alcohol contents. Afterwards it is aged in large oak casks for 4 years and 12 month in barriques. After bottling the wine refines for a further 6 months. Intense garnet red colour, typical aroma with hints of red fruit jam, full flavoured and velvety, with spicy aftertaste enriched with vanilla.
A fresh and well balanced wine with rich, blackberry fruit blended from Prugnolo Gentile, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and aged for 10 months in Slavonian oak casks for 10 months. (6 x 75 cl)
This wine uses Muscat of Terracina selected grapes and is a sweet, velvety tasting wine with an intense, persistent fragrance. Pale yellow in colour with gold glares, this wine is best served at the end of a meal. (6 x 75 cl)
This wine uses only selected Muscat of Terracina grapes and is a pale yellow colour with an intense aroma tipical of the vineyards, it is complex, with features of tropical fruits, withered rose and apricot. Rich, full, well-balanced sourness and lively aromatic marks with a considerably long after-taste this wine ends with tipical features of bitter almonds. (6 x 75 cl)
The fruit for this wine is carefully selected at the end of September and the beginning of October. Once picked the grapes are collected in small baskets where they wither for more than two months in a special environment. Once fermented the grapes are aged in oak where the unique aroma develops and are bottle aged before release. Golden-bright yellow coloured wine with soft amber reflections there are intense, complex aromas of yellow pulp fruit, honey, date, candy fruit and a light touch of vanilla, so tipical of the original wine-yard. Sweet and velvety, full and with a good structure, persisting and harmonic this is a well made wine to savour. (6 x 50 cl)
