The Jaume family has been making wine in Chateauneuf-du-Pape since 1862. Alain, the current vigneron, therefore has the experience of four wine growing generations and like his ancestors, has a passionate love of vines and wines. In 1979 he continued the family tradition with Domaine Grand Veneur, a vineyard located in the north of the appellation near Orange. Here, with the skilful blend of over thirteen different grape varieties, some from vines over 80 years old and cultivated without the use of chemicals, Alain Jaume produces some of the finest and most respected wines in the region.
