Taittinger COLLECTION Vintage Champagne

This single vineyard cuvee is produced from grapes grown at the 'Folies' and is available in limited quantities. A blend of 55% Chardonnay and 45% Pinot Noir it is made from the first pressings. Aged for 3 years, it is deep yellow in colour with fine delicate bubbles and an intense, highly fruited bouquet of peaches and hints of broche. It is a full bodied Champagne with a long distinctive finish of stone fruits and toasty notes. (6 x 75 cl)

Vinified using the ' l'addition ' method and produced from a subtle blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay from the first pressing. The palate is full bodied with a crisp elegance (3 x 1.5 Litres)

This new wine from Taittinger is the culmination of Claude Taittinger's desire to produce a Grand Cru blend on a par with the Vintage Champagne. The wine is a 50/50 blend of Chardonnay from the Cotes des Blanc and Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims area . Made to the elegant house style, it is a brilliant pale yellow with silvery highlights. Fine bubbles from a lasting, delicate creamy mousse whilst subtle, fresh floral aromas of elderberry with slightly spicy overtones through to an initial fresh, citrussy palate, finishing long and rich with hints of peach. On the palate, it is very fresh, attractively acidic and elegant. Its flavours are predominately of citrus fruits and lime. The finish is long, with vanilla flavours. This is the ultimate Rose Champagne. Vinified using the L'Addition method it has an attractive rosewood colour and fine mousse. Intense, rich fruity and floral aromas of raspberry and violets carry through to a full rich and complex palate. It is supple with a long elegant finish and has excellent ageing potential.
