Description:
The bouquet has peach and citrus fruit aromas with a hint of oak. The palate is well balanced with a crisp acid finish indicating the wine will develop well with cellaring. Malolactic fermentation has softened the acid and added complexity to the wine.
Produced from grapes grown on company owned vineyards in the Waipara Valley, this Sauvignon Blanc has a beautiful palate with a fusion of passionfruit, gooseberry and capsicum balanced with fresh acidity. (12 x 75 cl)
This New Zealand Cabernet Merlot was sourced from Cabernet Sauvignon in Waipara and Merlot from Gisborne. The wines were blended at a ratio of 50:50 to produce a wine showing the blackcurrant fruit of the Cabernet and ripe mulberries with spicy oak overtones. (12 x 75 cl)
The Riesling grapes were machine-harvested from two vineyards, both vineyards were harvested between 3rd and 7th May 2002. Both vineyard harvests were blended following stainless steel tank fermentation and racking. A medium wine showing typical apple, lime and spice flavour combined with riper and more complex citrus flavours from an influence of botrytis. The wine style while young has a clean fresh flavour with a hint of sweetness and a crisp finish. (12 x 75 cl)

The vineyards are located on the Mount Cass Road and were planted in 1982, as the then owners and developers believed that the terroir was simial to the Marlborough region. However, there was an added benefit, the effect the Teviotdale Hills and Mount Cass have in protecting the vineyards from the cool easterly sea breezes. The Mount Cass Glenray Reserve is only produced from selected clones, planting regimes and winemaking selections, including barrel fermentation with 10 months on lees. This has produced a softer style wine full of complex, strong flavours. A lively citrus fruit elegance displaying ripe melon rich characters, harmonised by the lightly toasted french oak leads to a lovely finish. (12 x 75 cl)
