Il Paradiso di Manfredi is a tiny estate of 2.5 hectares in the heart of Montalcino. Manfredi purchased the estate in 1958 and worked on it throughout his life until he died in 1982 when his son Florio took over. Adopting many biodynamic methods and hand picking the fruit, great care is taken from the vineyard to the winery. After spending about 10 months in Slovonian oak this deep dark Sangiovese wine is showing good dark fruit aromas that develop on the palate and through to the good finish. (6 x 75 cl)
A modern-style wine with its lavish fruit pulp and massive, yet velvet-smooth, tannins. The nose has good breadth, firm fruit well-supported by oak and vegetal notes. The palate is full-bodied and nicely poised, with lively tannins in the very attractive finish. (6 x 75 cl)
Brillant, ruby red colour and a vinous boquet showing intensity with notes of fruit. The palate is harmonious, full and persistent with a pleasent note of tannins on the finish. (6 x 75 cl)
Montepulciano wines are often overlooked because of the closeness of Montalcino, but to ignore these wines is to your disadvantage for these wines are tremendous. This is a complex wine given its lack of age with loads of black berry fruit, length and balance. (12 x 75 cl)
